I'm so glad you were able to do that with the kids, Kristy! My mom remarried after my dad passed away and his (late) burial this last summer was so meaningful, to see that she did still grieve his loss and the 45 years they were together. It sometimes felt like that wasn't the case, so the burial was a place to put those feelings and sadness to rest.
I'm so happy for you and Norman, that you can experience joy and understand each others' loss in a way that will only make you and your relationships with the kids stronger.
