Kristy,

For those of us who have only known your precious family a short time since Joni Camp, we too ache deeply with you. Because you hurt, we pray for God’s loving arms to be wrapped around you thru your family and friends. We pray for strength that comes from Him to put your feet on the floor each day. And we pray that you will find something that brings you joy each day. Perhaps it’s a great memory you made or the fact that Dan is walking with Jesus face to face. We can’t feel your pain and sorrow directly, but we “share your burden an so fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2
Be encouraged today that a wide circle has been made around your family and you are being lifted up by name to our Heavenly Father.

Oh friend! Thanks for being honest! I can’t imagine the pain in this new normal phase. Praying often for you for God to give you His strength when you have none. So sorry Kristy! Hugs!

Kristy, you are totally normal!

It’s ok to hide under the covers sometimes. I had a wonderful Bible teacher who had cancer and someone asked her what she did when she had a bad day. She said. “I go to bed and cry! What do you do?”

Jesus wept when Lazarus died, and He knew that He would shortly resurrect Lazarus.

Your new normal is really hard right now but it won’t always be so hard. Be kind to yourself and use all the help you’re getting to give yourself time to heal. God is prompting these ‘ravens’ to supply your needs for this time to strengthen you.

Thank you for being so honest! Even though we love Jesus and have the incredible presence of the Holy Spirit, we are also fully human. This ‘new normal’ grief is only for a season, it will get better!

Oh Kristy! I wish I could take the pain and loss from you. It is so "not normal" for someone your age to be a widow raising three young children. I don't have words to say to make you feel better, but I do have prayers to utter asking the Lord to comfort and encourage you all in the days and months ahead. You are very precious to our family and we share your grief. Dan was such a special part of so many lives, but especially of yours. The two of you served the Lord so faithfully for so many years. We Gehrings are blessed to be recipients of your faithfulness and love. Thanks you - hope to see you during Christmas, Lord willing. Hugs and love - Ron and Dorothy
