Dan’s Story

Site created on June 8, 2021

Dan had a fall a few days ago. After having a terrible headache and increasing confusion over the weekend we finally convinced him to go to the ER Monday morning (June 7). A X-ray and MRI later we were told there is a brain tumor on his left side. It is taking up about 1/3 of the left half of his brain. He was transported to St. Cloud and is recieving treatment there.  He is having problems with his memory but does know me, Hannah, and Sylvia. I will be doing journal entries as we find out what the treatment process is, prognosis, condition, etc.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Katrina Schlotfeldt

Dan is as stable as can be at this time. Surgery to remove as much of the tumor as possible will be on June 18th. Honestly just playing the waiting game right now. Because of his condition he is not able to take phone calls and does not have access to his cellphone or a computer. Until after surgery updates will be very few as each day is going to be alot of the same thing over and over.  -Trina
