In June of 2018, Dan was diagnosed with "Disc Degenerative Disease", caused by wear and tear of the spinal discs. This occurs due to the drying out of the discs over time making the discs lose their support and function. Dan was also diagnosed with "Osteoarthritis", which is inflammation or loss of cartilage in the joints. He is also battling "Osteomyletitis", which is a serious life-threatening infection of the bone. On November 14th, Dan begins 6-8 weeks of rigorous treatment for the infection and he will eventually have surgery to remove the infected parts of bone in his back after doctors get the infection under control.
