So very sad to read of Daniel’s passing.
Had hoped and prayed that he would be cured of this insidious virus. Thank you, Margaret, for your beautiful and thoughtful chronicling of Daniel’s journey. Such a wonderful gift to him.
He will be sadly missed by so many.

You were such a nice person. I loved the way you would always engage with our service person at lunch or dinner - and you did it so effortlessly - and in such a warm manner. You would always receive such a genuine and sincere response - every time you connected so thoughtfully. I'm sure you received a lot of love and respect from everyone you worked with and from all of your guests, which from what I'm observing on this site, shows that they became your friends! You will be missed.

It is so hard to believe you are gone. I am sorry I never had a chance to see you one last time.
We are just heartbroken. Please let me know what arrangements are being made.

You don’t know us but we live just around the corner from Clancy’s. This news is so troubling. It reinforces how vigilant we all still need to be. I’m so sorry you have to bear this grief. It is clear from these posts that he was loved incredibly by so many people.

We won't say goodbye, only so long until we meet again. If you have taught us anything, it is, in the end kindness matters and people will remember you by the love you gave. Rest in peace Daniel, you lived a wonderful life.

We are all so sad. We truly believed God was going to fully heal Daniel but we know he is in a better place. Please hug his mom and family and thank you Margaret for your beautifully written journals each day. I looked for them throughout the day as I was praying for him. Be at peace.
