Journal entry by Joan Tennefos —
Dan left this world and went home to be with Jesus on November 16th.
He died in the hospital in Mesa Arizona. His cancer battle is over and he has no more pain. We grieve his loss but rejoice that he is dancing and playing drums in heaven. He wasn't excited about dancing here but he always said his favorite way to worship was playing drums.
We are still making plans for the funeral. It will be after Thanksgiving sometime, at Triumph Lutheran Brethren where he had been a pastor. You can check Hanson Runsvold Funeral Home in a few days for details and an obituary. We will also have a memorial service in our RV park in Mesa AZ sometime in January. If you want details about that please reach out to me.
I have my 2 sisters here for help and support and my mom too. Krista my daughter comes this afternoon and we will write his obituary.
We miss him dearly. We cling to our faith and our good memories with him. We rejoice that he is with his Lord and Savior and that his pain is no more. I have so felt your prayers and am forever grateful. Community has been more important than it has ever been. Love love love you all. Cry happy tears with me.
