Danielle’s Story

Site created on April 25, 2018

Around August of 2017, Dani found an abnormally large lump in her neck. It wasn't until March when we got a sonogram done; which was suggested by her chiropractor. They found that she had several enlarged lymph nodes in her neck. We were then sent to a specialist who put her on an antibiotic for two weeks.  After finishing the antibiotic there was no change so the doctor ordered a biopsy to be done, they removed two of the enlarged lymph nodes. After waiting two weeks for results she was diagnosed with Stage 3A Classical Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

Journal entry by Emily Bennett

Dani is officially done with two cycles of chemotherapy!! Whoot Whoot! :)

Also, to add to all the good news. . .
Last week she had scans and bloodwork done and the results finally came back.

THE CANCER IS 70% LESS ACTIVE!!!!

Now we just keep doing what we are doing, and she should only have two more cycles to go. If all goes as planned she should be done around August, just in time for school to start!
