Dan, I’ve always looked up to you and do now, in this moment, more than ever. You’re an inspired, and inspirational, intelligent, creative, talented, compassionate and all around down-to-earth-bad-ass-of-a-guy. It’s heartbreaking to see cancer do this to such an energetic and optimistic person. My heart is with you. It’s inspiring to see how you’re able to process all of this and deal with it all – cherishing your family and the good that life has to offer along the way, despite it all. Much love to you, man.

Dear Dan, this decision couldn't be easy, but you fought a good fight in any way that is humanly possible. I respect your decision and feel very sad at the same time... Thank you for all you did for the children at St. Baldrick’s, for music, for the language teachers at Cornell and ultimately for being who you are as you are my INSPIRATION!
