I guess I will only say Dan has been such a blessing in Heather's life and of course Summer, Sam, and Emily. All of you have been so great in your support. Please keep all of them in your hearts.
No matter how long the journey; how long you prepare; how many ways you say "Good by " in the interem, there is no way to prepare for the sense of loss. We know he is in Heaven. We know he is with Jesus. We trust. We feel the loss. Our prayers are with you as you face all of the "firsts" you will encounter. May He hold you close in His loving arms. May He bring comfort. May he show you special things that you might have missed along the way. And may He give you Rest....rest...rest...sleep. Love and prayers.
Our hearts can't help but rejoice with Dan and his homegoing (his physical pain and weariness now gone and his spirit and soul now soaring in God's loving presence!). Yet our hearts are so heavy for the deep pain and loss you feel at this time...so, so sorry. Last night we were praying for you , Dan, and the family. Our program went on with our hearts thinking of you and of the girls.... It was beautiful worship and just want you to know there was a lot of love going on. God bless Dan, who suffered and worked so hard to stay, but he's now resting in His Savior's arms.... Dan is suffering no more. It is hard to lose the love of your life as it is still hard for me after losing my wonderful husband but we shall see them again in heaven. Prayers for you and the family in the days ahead. He was a blessing to me and everyone that knew him.
