You are walking sacred space. My prayers continue for you, for Dan, and for your family. Hospice is a special time in the life of the one whose time is short, giving them room to love and be loved without the intrusion of treatment. My daughter is a hospice nurse and it takes a special person to do the this kind of work; it's ministry actually. She also worked in medical oncology and she worked very hard to see the human being and to be mindful the person is not the illness; caring for them in the struggle for a cure or remission, caring for them when they wanted more time (always more time) with family and friends; and finally, when the veil was thin and they were transformed from life to life--caring for the sacred vessel that held that precious life after death. These days are precious today and will be even more precious in the days, weeks, months, and years to come. God's love and peace continue to hold you tenderly.

Thank you so much for sharing your journey here on Caringbridge. What a long journeyit has been and what a testimony you have been throughout this journey...never losing faith. Never losing trust that God is directing your path.

Yesterday we were faced with the decision of choosing a hospice facility for Jerry. Your comments gave me less anxiety about the transition. Thrn s friend emailed methe words to the hymn "God Will Take Care of You". Thank you for sharing

Thankful for this update! Dan is a person that I look to as a godly brother in Christ, an encourager to those battling cancer and someone who lives each day to the fullest. Prayer warrior. Devoted husband and father. We send our thoughts and prayers during this special time.

You painted a beautiful picture of what hospice is...I recall our conversations about hospice long ago and I'm grateful you are having a good experience in this part of your journey. Much love to you all and continuing to lift you up to our daddy.
