Journal entry by Sera Jarvis

At 33 weeks pregnant, Dana was hospitalized with Covid pneumonia, and ended up being air-lifted to Springfield where she was eventually intubated and taken for a C-section. Baby Damyn was born strong and healthy on October 6th.

Dana moved mountains in an effort to get better fast so she can be there for her sweet baby girl. Unfortunately, Covid didn’t just steal the memories of childbirth and the bonding of the first several days. Covid also stole Dana’s baby shower and the presence of her mom (who is also battling Covid and is currently in critical condition in Blessing Hospital ICU). There is a lot of darkness mixed into this joyful time.

Dana and Tyler still need everything for the baby, and will also have incredible expenses in regards to medical bills, traveling back and forth between Damyn in Springfield and her three big sisters in Quincy, and so on. Please consider making a donation to this wonderful family so they can be ready when Baby Damyn can finally come home ❤️
