Dallas’s Story

Site created on February 2, 2019

January 2019, Dallas was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Dallas and Dianne have chosen to treat this cancer by filling Dallas's body with mass amounts of nutrition (juicing vegetables and fruits)  with the goal of starving the cancer cells while enriching the normal cells. We have been learning how the body will stop making cancer if the immune system is strong thus restoring the body to maximum health. This site will allow us to keep you updated as we take this "change of lifestyle" journey to healing and health.  We are trusting our mighty God who is the master healer, no matter how he chooses to heal.   Isaiah 12 - I will praise you, O Lord; I will trust and not be afraid; the Lord is my strength, my song and my salvation.

Journal entry by Dianne Shaw

Dear family and friends,
It has now been 24 days since my dear Dallas left us for heaven. The greatest difficulty I have had is not having Dallas to talk to. He was my dearest friend and would care about and listen to the simplest things that happened in the day. How I miss laughing with him and sharing our hearts about everything. I am reminded often each day of what a wonderful man he was. How blessed I was to be his wife and best friend.

I have cried my heart to God and found out first hand that He is my great and mighty Comforter. As I read/meditate on His Word and listen to His gentle, guiding voice, I am asking God to teach and show me His truth and wisdom so that in obedience I might follow Him and be used by Him to serve others. Philemon 1:4-7, I always thank my God as I remember you in my prayers, because I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints. I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ. Your love has given me great joy and encouragement, because you have refreshed the hearts of the saints.

All of you have been on my mind and I want to touch bases with you this one last time through Caringbridge. I thank each one of you for standing with and walking beside us through the past 7 months. As I have said before, you have been God's hands and feet to us. Thank you for the difference you have made for us with your prayers, cards, comments, help, hugs and love. I pray that God will bless you the way He has blessed us through you. I encourage you to be bold with your faith. People need the Lord and we are the vessels He uses to share the saving message of Christ's work on the cross. Take and act on the opportunities He places before you.

As my mother would always say, "We'll see you here, there, or in the air!"
Because of Jesus, His matchless love and promise of heaven,
Dianne
