I suppose it is normal to be anxious leading up to a PET Scan no matter what is happening.  While I am generally well, I do continually deal

with side effects of the medications (thank God for modern medicine!) and the effects of the bone metastasis.  These side effects are annoying, but manageable. I steadfastly subscribe to the no whining or complaining , but I confess to letting my mind wander to fear at times. Thankfully, those symptoms are medication side effects/prior injury only and not any indication of those pesky cancer cells figuring out a way around the meds!  So please join me in thanking God for the modern medical miracle and that I am living well!

I do have some areas of concern for your prayers. The PET revealed an increase in gallstones so an ultrasound is in my near future. Also, one of the side effects of the meds is some decrease i. Kidney function. This has been mostly mitigated with changes to my medicine regimen, but it is an ongoing concern.
