There are tears in my eyes. He was my best and lifelong friend. i have thought often about him, mostly recently with those tears. I loved him so much. We developed together.

When I came out there nearly two years ago, I knew it was the last time I would ever see him. I enjoyed your family so much. I enjoyed making dinner for him and Kathy and spending quality time with Curt and your mother. We served breakfast at the high school on St Patrick's day, doing what Curt loved best outside his family, serving other people.

What a wonderful family you have! I enjoyed interacting with you! I can't tell you adequately how important that was to me. When I left Curt and Kathy, I had tears in my eyes. I knew that was the last time I would ever see Curt on this earth. Curt probably was surprised, but he meant so very very much to me, best friends since elementary school.

Take pride in your father. There are few like him. I won't be there for his funeral, memorial service, nor interment, But my heart is with your family all forever. I know Curt has gone to the Father, and no greater reward could any of us want.

Curt posted several times on facebook the picture of us with the Teton mountains in the background. Please use that picture of us in his memorial service.

With love and devotion to you all. My heart is with you.

Our sympathy to you Kathy, Kristi, Kari, Keith and your families. We are so grateful to have had the privilege of getting to know you when you were in Minneapolis. A sermon Curt preached many years ago on Isaiah 7 (the call of Isaiah) is the only sermon that I have remembered ever since I heard it almost 40 years ago. It deeply impacted me (Joan). We are holding you in our hearts and in our prayers. Dave and Joan

So sorry to hear the news of Pastor Curt's passing--happy for him, sad for the family. Curtis had a big role in my early years of Christian formation, and performed a memorable wedding for Joy and me at Stavanger Lutheran Church. Lots of wonderful memories. Our prayers are with you all. "The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms" (Deut. 33:27).

Stan and I are saddened to hear of Curt's passing! We so enjoyed the years we spent re-connecting with you, Kathy, and your dear hubby in the Pacific Northwest, especially at the "Honeymooners" dinners we shared. The years have sped by since Curt was my youth leader at Ebenezer in Minneapolis. I feel privileged to have known you both. Thank you for your years of serving the Lord together - we'll be continuing to pray for you in the days ahead.
