Community’s Story

Site created on March 11, 2020

Thank you for visiting. This site is designed to provide members of the CSUN Community, and beyond, with a variety of ways to boost your immune system during challenging times.

This site was created on March 11th, 2020 in response to learning that my alma mater and the university that I teach part time at, California State University, Northridge, is cancelling classes March 12th-15th and is moving all classes online for the month following our Spring Break, as a public health precaution given the Coronavirus Pandemic.

[ Edit: Effective 03/17, Classes have now moved online for the remainder of the semester, all campus events have been cancelled and Commencement Ceremonies have been postponed ]

I wanted a way to share positive actions that students, faculty and staff, and anyone else who might benefit, can take  -- while not inundating them with emails. And do so in a way that they could access 24/7, anytime they could use a word of encouragement, a perspective shift or even a good laugh, given laughter boosts immunity.

Journal entries will be added regularly, please bookmark this link and feel free to share it with others who might benefit from it.

I hope you are able to seek and find ways to enjoy the good in our world today, as we also take extra care with hand-washing, social distancing and other immunity-boosting behaviors.

[ Edit: I hope that as you heed the “Safer at Home” Orders announced 03/19, joy still finds its way to you and it is well noticed. ]
