Journal entry by Crystal Zick

Lost & feel broken. Hey everybody so a few months ago, I had pain when walking, heavy feeling like bricks were dragging my feet. My thought I pinched a nerve, weeks past I was in ER two times
They did MRI said no spinal damage, SENT ME HOME SAYING IT WAS MUSCLE SPASMS. So more time past I realized nope something is horrible wrong at 41 yrs old I can't walk all the way threw HEB..2nd visit to ER , doctor said claudation to your legs said I needed to see a speacilist that deals with your veins and blood flow. Omg how I don't have Insurance. We all think we only 40 + this doesn't happen to us! So I had to get Medicaid another wait of 45 days, and pain and tingling and nning in my legs..Finally after jumping all the red tape too get insurance I got my appointment. So I go into this Dr office explain everything, he listens to my legs with like a stethoscope and looks up at me you have no pulse in either leg?? In fear I am like what do you mean, I am going to send you down hall and do a AB1 test on you. Get that done and get told the bloodflow is 25 % waist down. He couldn't believe it himself. Hereditary, and smoking hasn't helped me. But at 41 I am literally a pediatric patient. These people come in there 70+ .So of course It going to be more test CTA scan with contrast. Which of course another week and half of waiting. And need to see cardiologist to check heart. So more damn waiting. Finally test are done
Follow up with him. Confirmed I have 100 percent blockage in my aorta Main vein in our body. Quick is possible are body makes a new way, but it doesn't work as well. It puts stran on our heart. Fast forwarded to week before Thanksgiving. He explains we have to do a major surgery called Aortabifemoral Bypass. I have arthostenosis, aorta occlusive disease , ischemia which is loss of limbs cuz of lack of bloodflow. So surgery scheduled Dec 9th. So he explains high risk factors and tell me not everyone makes it of table. Surgery rescheduled to first week of Jan 2020. My husband not supportive at all. He don't want to pay the rent, but food. Christmas around the corner. It is just too much for anyone to go threw. I have kids a whole life too live this can't be the end. My sister has been my emotional rock. Thank god
So I would appreciate any help tips, prayers anything. Much love everybody
