Newest Update

Journal entry by Melissa Sybil

It was really wonderful to see so many of you two weekends ago at the Team Courtney fundraiser organized by the Grossi Family and fundraising committee which included families and friends spanning Courtney's life from kindergarten to college. What an amazing group of women and men who put together a very special day.
We were so grateful to be able to celebrate with you and reflect on how far Courtney has come since November 1st. While her right leg and left leg are both still healing, Courtney is not letting that keep her down. Donned in shorts and looking beautiful, she was the belle of the fundraiser; maneuvering a pretty big crowd on just crutches. She rounded up the day with a long nap and some McDonald's!
She is still working hard to catch up at school, and continues to motivate the lacrosse team from the sidelines traveling with them to every game and attending daily practices. Doctor visits are pretty regular from podiatry to physical therapy, to neurology, and prosthetic appointments.
These visits are a reminder of just how much she went through, how far she has come, and how much more healing there is still to do.
Thankfully, as witnessed a few weekends ago, she has an unrelenting support team. Your help, encouragement, prayers, donations, love, and laughter are keeping Courtney and her family going. Please continue to reach out. It means so much.
We will send another update soon!
