Journal entry by M T —
I met with Amy Cunningham today and signed the paperwork / paid for the burial. That is happening on Monday. I cannot afford to stay in New York any longer (I could barely afford to come here to begin with), so the burial is just going to be a private affair. The burial will be near New Paltz, so it might be quite a haul from New York City. However, if anyone wants to attend feel free to reach out; I'd recommend you contact Amy. For legal / liability reasons, I believe you will have to be responsible for your own transit instead of traveling with the funeral director.
I do not know the specific time of the burial yet.
Thanks everyone for all the support, both here and in the Go Fund Me. It is REALLY appreciated. I can finally write checks on my aunt's account, which should just about cover the funeral fees, cemetery, and the "tab" we've got going at the attorney :- /
It will be a long time, if ever, before I financially or emotionally recover from everything that's gone wrong over the past year, but it is comforting to know that I'm not totally alone.
I will be back in Portland late (late) tonight. The past few weeks have been absolutely, indescribably exhausting on top of the horrendous torrent of disaster, so it will take me a while to reach out to thank everyone.
