Newest Update

Journal entry by Carolyn Sayers

Apologies for no updates recently.

Currently, things are steady. Today is the first day of cycle 6. It’s hard to believe that we have done so many cycles already.

Cory continues to wax and wane in how he feels, energy, appetite, etc. We still play everything day by day, but recently (Knock on wood) we have had more good days than bad.

The end of last week, I did get a call from Cory about his pain level being severe. We had been having trouble with his subcutaneous morphine needle constantly becoming occluded and not delivering appropriate amounts of morphine for his pain. Friday was the straw that broke the camel’s back and we decided to proceed with a Picc line placement. Since this, his pain has been significantly improved. It’s funny how actually receiving the full amount of morphine seems to really help ;)

At the end of cycle 6, so in three weeks, we will have reimaging done again. Fingers crossed. We are still hopeful and still doing everything we can in the mean time.

Love to all!
