Journal entry by Tristen Greff —
I know I’m a little behind on updating, I apologize.
Dad passed away Tuesday morning at 4:15 AM. Dad went peacefully, and was able to live out his final moments at home. This was so important to him, and I am so thankful to hospice for making this possible.
Dad’s last few days were spent surround by friends and family, just like he wanted. He was also surrounded by family as he crossed the bridge into heaven.
As hard is it is that Dad is gone, it was so much harder to watch him suffer. He will be missed so much, but it is so relieving to know he is no longer suffering and no longer in pain.. and finally cancer free. Dad was a fighter, and he fought until the very end. He will be missed by so many. He is gone, but never forgotten.
Thank you to everyone who has prayed for him in the last 11 months. Without all the love and support, we wouldn’t have made it this far. Dad was fighting an enormous battle, but he wasn’t fighting alone. I have to believe that is a huge part of the reason we did get as much time with him after his diagnosis as we did.
You will find his obituary and information regarding services below:
