Corbin’s Story

Site created on November 29, 2021

Corbin was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymohoma on 11/11/21 after a month of doctor appointments to investigate a suspicious lump in his neck area. He had no other symptoms . Corbin will have a port placement 11/15/21 and staging will be done 11/17/21. Then a treatment plan will be implemented. And together we will work with Corbin to eradicate Lymphoma. This page will help us keep you updated on Corbin's progress and antics through treatment.

If you don't know Corbin, he is a witty, hilarious kid who defines himself as crazy.   He asked me to name this space "Help a Crazy Kid get through a rough part of life". I will use this page to encourage Corbin and help him see how many people are praying for him during this journey.

Journal entry by Patricia Crow

We spent the past week at Cooks Childrens Hospital in Ft Worth. Corbin was scheduled to have his stem cell harvest. He had to meet two different blood parameters (WBC and cd34). He had blood draws Wednesday through Sunday before his counts were finally high enough to have the procedure Monday morning. They needed 2.5 million cells minimum. Over four hours they were able to collect 12 million stem cells.  We were there a little longer than expected, but we were very impressed with Cooks Childrens Hospital and very thankful for the Ronald McDonald House Ft Worth. Corbin will have one more round of chemo starting 10/31/22. That will be a 21 day cycle. Then they will do another PET scan to see if he is in remission. If he is, we will go back to Cooks in December. Then Corbin will have to be there 2-4 months to have the stem cell transplant. Thank you for following our journey. We are praying for complete healing.
