Site created on December 6, 2021

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Cooper started to feel sick around the Thanksgiving holiday. He was at his Dr. the week prior to Thanksgiving but there was no definitive diagnosis. He continued to feel ill, and had blood work done on Saturday, December 4. Shortly after, we were sent to
the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital.

After lots of testing, Cooper has been diagnosed with T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL).
(T-ALL) is a specific type of leukaemia. It is a variant of acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL), with features similar to some types of lymphoma. (T-ALL) is a type of acute leukemia that affects the lymphoid-cell, which produces stem cells, particularly, white blood cells called T lymphocytes.
