Journal entry by Connie Schwartz —
Yes, it has been a month since I wrote.
I have been having treatments every week, except one week I had an infection. I am back to having treatments. In fact, tomorrow is going to be one.
I am feeling pretty good. I do get occasional muscle aches two or three days after treatments, but my Tylenol for arthritis seems to help. I noticed my tongue feels like I burned it and eating sometimes feels bad. Speaking of eating, my appetite is very low. I have been losing weight and some weeks weight comes off fast. I had an appointment to improve my eating habits and ice cream is something I need to eat everyday - no kidding. I need protein and fat, so that is on my diet. I also need to eat every couple of hours.
I still feel like I have a cold, and even after weeks of strong antibiotics, I guess I need to get that checked on.
My blood work shows that my hemoglobin is dropping - that could mean a future blood transfusion. We will see what happens. I also will be getting a ct scan in the future to see if we are killing the &^%(&# cancer cells.
I am sleeping very good, I function quite well. My stamina seems to be dropping a little bit.
I have super great neighbors that help clean the snow out of my driveway.
