Awesome. Especially losing the ear at the beach. ;) Off the top of my crazy creative thinking, I'd say get a 3D printer, get a scan of your right ear, reverse the image, then print it out. Glue a coated metal plate on the back of the printed ear. Then get a musician's ear monitor molded for your left ear hole. Remove the electronics and shape a magnet to fit into it. Insert the ear monitor then attach the fake ear. - Does this exist? I have no clue. Just came up with it. - After my surgery, my hearing surgeon suggested an implated mic behind my left ear which would feed sound vibrations through my skull. He said my brain would eventually learn the difference between the natural sounds on the right and the sounds generated from the left. I decided to wait. It'll be fixed during the Great Reconstruction. - It's great to see your recovery and I'm enjoying the stories. I'm looking forward to the book.
The ear is 'nonessential'? Maybe that's why they were put where I can't see them!
Since your using video meetings, perhaps you could use photoshop and make a backdrop of what you prefer and change it up as often as you like. You will have to sit still though.
Thanks for the update Collin. Glad you are doing better! Nice evening reading
Excellent prognosis Collin and fun reading as usual! Hopefully we'll see you and the left side of your head soon (beautiful with or without a prosthesis!), and course lovely Hailey as well! Much love, G&G
