Journal entry by Christina Williams

Mom "Coco" Colleen was diagnosed October 4th with an Astrocytoma grade 4 Glioblastoma. An inoperable, fast growing, cancerous bastard of a beast.  She fought through four weeks of agressive radiation and Chemotherapy.  Two week post treatment the MRI showed that two of the three tumors had responded to treatment but the stubborn mass in her left temporal lobe continued to grow, quickly leaching the blood supply and nutrients from healthy brain tissue.  She had an infusion of Avastin last Thursday and we tripled her Steroids to counteract the edema.  She responded well with an increase of strength and alertness.  Today we met with services to set up in home PT/OT and Speech therapy.  Her prognosis remains at 12 months but since she is without pain and smiling daily, we will move forward with treatment.  We meet with the Specialists tomorrow to discuss the next steps on this adventure.
Please hold her high in your prayers. Please continue sharing your voice of love and positive affirmations as well as overwhelm her FB page with pictures and thoughts of positive progress for her!
We ALL know how STRONG she is! She's a hell of a fighter and an inspirational woman!
