Journal entry by Lisa Love —
I spoke with Johan recently. He is grieving heartily and openly. He shared how the final days were full of sweet moments of loving presence. He mentioned how Cokey loved her gardens and knew every flower and how he can't tell the difference between flowers and weeds. "That was always her thing." He feels urgently desirous of maintaining her flower beds. If you would like to come out today, Saturday, July 11th between 12 pm and 2 pm, Rebecca Monks and I will be there. Bring something to drink and prepare to reminisce and celebrate Cokey's handiwork. Text me (207) 522-7312 if you need the address. Bring hand tools, bucket, shovel, hoe if you have. It might be rainy. Weather looks fairly good for the task!
