Site created on May 2, 2019

Welcome to Cody's CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.  On Wednesday, May 1st, 2019 at 11:51 a.m. Cody Jay Haugen was involved in a motorcycle accident in Anchorage, Alaska. He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Cody's vitals are currently stable but he is in very critical condition. We ask you to pray for Cody and his family in this time of need. We will continue to update as soon as possible. #FightWithCody

Journal entry by Haugen Family

Well the Baby steps are continuing slow but sure we have our 6 week checkup this Friday morning at the VA. His walking distance indurence has had some improvements. He is managing stairs very well got sick of having his bed in the living room so he moved back into his old room down stairs. He gets himself up and ready every day with no assistance. We have Therapy 3 times a week for OT,  PT and speech therapy. And a member ship at the local YMCA. Trying to think of other things to keep us busy every day Cody used to like working with wood making things so with Pinterest and the holidays coming we may think of some things to make for gifts. Cody also gets his new tablet on Friday so he can start communicating more on his own with family and friends. Prayers and love to all the service members and veterans
