Don’s Story

Site created on July 4, 2019

Welcome to our caring bridge site for Dad. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We will also use it to celebrate Dad and his impact on so many people. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.

Dad was diagnosed a while back as likely having Lewy body dementia. Lewy body dementia is the second most common type of progressive dementia after Alzheimer’s. Protein deposits, called Lewy bodies develop in nerve cells in the brain regions involved in thinking, memory and movement. In crude terms, it is like having a cruel mix of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s;

Dad has now moved into the Kline house to help with care; Short visits are welcome.
