Journal entry by Claire Teuber —
Hey ya'll. Thanks for checking in on me. I went to radiology yesterday and they told me that not only did I have a malignancy in my pelvis and spine, but also in three more places. They are all skeletal, and the skeleton is one organ. Because there are so many spots I am not a good candidate for radiation. I left the hospital feeling bewildered and scared. Later I emailed my oncologist who told me that he suspects that the other malignancies have been there all along, but couldn't be seen. Now that I am on Chemo pills the spots showed up more readily. So I am relieved, because at the first notification of these other sites I thought I was getting worse, but I am not. I talked to my friend, who is a retired head of oncology, and she said that the meds I am on should take care of those sites. "Rollercoaster woo woo, of love, say what?", to quote a song from the Ohio Players 1975. Sometimes I feel like I am on one, whew.
