Can we get an update soon? We think of Cindy every day and she’s in our prayers. She’s been such a blessing in our lives since I stumbled across her in a chat room. Worden was Andy’s mothers name and I thought there might be a connection. So she wanted to talk, I gave her my number, and we talked for nearly two hours on a warm November day. We had an immediate connection and I was thrilled that I’d found a cousin for Andy since he has no other family that he knows of. He was a much younger “unplanned” child and his Mom’s sixth . He led a rather lonely childhood because his Mom had left AZ for the SanFrancisco Bay Area and what family he had were all in the mountains in AZ. Anyway, we discovered the link of the Worden who commanded a boat in the Civil War and Andy spoke with her later. We invited her to Christmas at our house and she came. They bonded immediately. We retired to Hot Springs Village and she started dating Jimmy, who lived in Hot Springs on Lake Hamilton. We enjoyed them both and had many social outings. That’s over now, but we still talk to Jim occasionally. No worries— I promised her I wouldn’t tell him of her illness. We really miss her but I know she doesn’t feel like talking. I’m an RN and told her I’d come and stay with her anytime- perhaps after surgery. I don’t think she should be alone in the hospital- patients need to have someone helping to get things done.
