Cindy’s Story

Site created on December 21, 2020

This CaringBridge website is for Cindy Lee as she navigates a tough journey to treat, beat, and recover from pancreatic cancer. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place, it's a lot better than multiple other ways.  Thank you for visiting.

Journal entry by Mark Worden

Well  .  .  .  another week of doctors, meds, and sometimes pain.  Cindy has started chemotherapy drip it comes with a home pump for a two-day infusion.  This will continue for at least 4 months before the next decision on treatment is made.  Just know that some weeks Cindy may have several treatments, its not fun and will be a real slog for some time.

Mary accompanied her to the 1st treatment and I am so thankful for the support that comes from love.  If you feel like you could help with appointment transportation, use the tab called "WAYS TO HELP"     then click on Planner.

Sometimes tired, sometimes just kinda overwhelmed.  She expects to lose all of her hair, so she may cut it all off soon to prevent the random shedding and angst that would come with that.

Right now Cindy is not worried about meals.  But if that changes she will be talking to Mary who knows what she can eat or what she wants; if you want to help use the tab "WAYS TO HELP"     then click "meal train".

Other than that use the "Well Wishes" tab to send her a message or post a photo of a happy time.  Cindy will read them when she can, but if you at least post something it can be a ray of sunshine.

Thank you to those who care enough to be reading this.
