Journal entry by Hilary Hunt —
In recent weeks, Cindy’s condition has continued to worsen - taking a toll on her both physically and emotionally. After a great deal of consideration, Cindy has decided to focus on quality of life as opposed to quantity of time. To be clear, she’s not “giving up.” She’s choosing to live the rest of her time with dignity and peace on her own terms. She will continue living with Hilary and her family (Wade, Ethan, and Audrey). Hospice is helping to manage her pain, assist in treating other symptoms, and help the entire family to process what is taking place. We appreciate all of your well wishes and prayers - especially for comfort, acceptance, and strength. This is hard, but we get through each day knowing we are not alone on this journey. We know we are surrounded by love. We feel it, and it gives us strength.
