Journal entry by Cindy Derendal

The good news is, we followed up with my eye surgeon on Jan. 3rd to see how the cataract surgery healing was going. The doctor said my eyesight was so improved that I did not have to wear glasses anymore except for fine print reading. This was amazing news, since I have worn glasses since I was in 6th grade.
Tne bad news is I fell off a step ladder yesterday decorating for Valentine's Day & St Patrick's Day (replacing the holiday decorations) & fractured my right arm bone - the radius bone at the elbow.  Thankfully it was not displaced so no cast was necessary - only a sling & some pain meds.  The emergency room doctor said to expect 4-6 weeks to heal. in the meantime, I am to see an orthopedic doctor on Tuesday & probably more physical therapy.
I also have another PET scan coming up February 4th to check on the Merkel Cell cancer.
Please continue to keep Bill & I in your prayers.
