Journal entry by PAM ZAUGG

Brother Larry from SC came to visit and sons Jeff and Jon from MN came to visit, to work, and to allow me to take a quick trip to Rockford on Wednesday!  Chuck has struggled with medicines and pain management.  However he had a great time with three of his very favorite men..

Jeff and Jon decided to take away their Dad's worries about docks and the boat, and they worked with our manager Steve and a friend to get all ready for winter. We are thankful and have never such warm weather to take out docks!

Chuck and I had hoped to take a trip to Rockford to celebrate a very special event with my dad (age 90) and family, but Chuck is just not well enough.  However our boys decided their mom needed to go so off I went to let these boys handle things for a day.  Chuck ate three meals, took a golf cart ride & a boat ride, and they had many special times of sharing!  I drove to Rockford in time for a great visit with my dad, saw him give a precious presentation, soaked in time with the Nyquist family, and was back home before bedtime!

Our family just finished a Bible study on called "Whisper: How to Hear the Voice of God" and concluded that none of us has 'heard' what God's plans are, BUT we will continue to draw closer and closer to God to listen better, and we will continue to read His Word and do what it says one day at a time.

Isaiah 30:15  This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: “Only in returning to me

and resting in me will you be saved.  In quietness and confidence is your strength… 18So the Lord must wait for you to come to him so he can show you his love and compassion. For the Lord is a faithful God.

Blessed are those who wait for his help...19O people of Zion, who live in Jerusalem, you will weep no more. He will be gracious if you ask for help. He will surely respond to the sound of your cries...21Your own ears will hear him."

Thank you all for your support, and please keep praying for God's healing and His miracle in PARADISE or our Northwood's paradise!
