Thank you for sticking with us as a family uniting in God's Word asking Him for healing and encouragement.  Monday Chuck has an appointment with our radiologist to have another scan that will determine where the tumors are after these last two weeks of no treatment.  Jeff & girls leave today and Family come for a quick visit from Rockford.  The resort is busy & God continues to work here!

Day 10: In Isaiah 36-39 we see the story of Hezekiah.  Please go with me to chapter 40 today as we end this 10 day devotional. God does not leave us to dwell on Hezekiah’s ups and downs but want us to focus on the comfort He gives!

Isaiah 40 says “Comfort, comfort My people and speak tenderly…Listen!..  Straighten the curves, and smooth out the rough places. Then the glory of the Lord will be revealed and all people will see it together!…The grass withers and the flowers fade but the Word of our God stands forever..

Shout!  Tell all that your God is coming!  The Sovereign Lord is coming in power,  He will rule with a powerful Arm and He brings His reward with Him as He comes!  He feeds His flock like a shepherd and carries His lambs in His arms holding them close to His Heart.  He will gently lead the mother sheep with their young.(We watch our kids with our grandchildren leading and holding and see how our God is taking care of every detail in our lives!)

To whom can you compare God? Isaiah goes on to share God's creation and the amazing details that we see as we look around us..“To Whom is My equal?” Asks the Holy One… Have you not heard? Have you not understood?

The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows tired or weary.  No one can measure the depths of His understanding,  He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.  Even youths will become weak and tired and young men will fall in exhaustion.  But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.  They will soar high on wings of eagles.  They will run and not grow weary.  They will walk and not faint.”

As we watch the eagles soar over Anvil Lake we are reminded of God’s faithfulness and His Presence fills us with a power that comes from His Peace!
