Today we found out Chuck does not qualify for the trial Dr Marks had planned to put him on. Please pray for what the next step will be. We trust Healer God yet we also like to do something. Psalms 46:10 reminds us to “be still and know I AM God!”  Thank you for prayers!

This week we have a routine MRI to check and see if there are any signs of cancer in Chuck's brain.  Next we head to Mayo Clinic Sunday with a full day planned to start this new clinical trial.  We are so thankful for each of you and all your notes of encouragement!  We are also so thankful for our kids and all their support!  We have studied some verses in Joel 2 together and found these truths from past days:(vs 12-13) Turn to Me with all your heart, Return to the Lord your God,… (Vs 21) Fear not; Be glad and rejoice, For the Lord has done marvelous things! … (vs 28-32) “And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,Your old men shall dream dreams,  Your young men will see visions and I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth.  It shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved. For on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance."

Join us as we turn to God trusting His ways.  We are not allowing fear to the away our joy for we see so many things the Lord has done.  When His Holy Spirit comes it brings us each closer to Him, and we pray for our sons and daughters to see God's faithfulness and for Chuck to keep dreaming of how his life affects others, and his story will be one to share miracles.  We also pray for our sons to lead and for all to see God's wonders!  Their help comes from the Lord with great deliverance.  Deliver us God from this cancer!

Today we saw Dr Lawler (Chuck's neuro-oncologist)with him showing us that on the MRI he found 5 spots in Chuck's brain of cancer.  He is scheduling a pre-gamma knife MRI and then the gamma knife.  We pray no more spots are found and they can treat this.  Dr Mansfield (Chucks pulmonary oncologist) called and said we have to wait two weeks after this gamma knife before we can start the clinical trial.  Yes, we are disappointed but know God's plans are best and we still pray miracles!  Our kids have continued to join us in claiming we are not to fret and worry but to praise God and look for the miracle living life fully day to day! Pray for relief in shoulder pain.  Pray for a gamma knife ASAP and then we will start this trial!  Pray that God heals!

Just heard from Marshfield and we have an appointment tomorrow morning 7:50 to meet with Dr Neal the surgeon. It is a consultation to determine if an MRI is warranted. I think this means there is a question if gamma knife will get all the cancer or do we go full brain radiation? They said we will have four appointments but no Gamma Knife tomorrow. We plan to drive down tonight   Pray for Chuck's heart and mind and body.. and soul too!  This has been a tough couple days as we continue to pray healing, but receive news that shows more cancer.  We really want to surprise all doctors with a miracle here and know our God can do it!

We will have to go back Feb 15 for another gamma knife to get the other two tumors. This means another delay in any treatment for cancer. God’s plans not ours. We are thankful to have the opportunity to use gamma knife for Chuck is sore but not bad at all!  Please keep praying. We claim healing and know God is in charge of this process: every detail. He provides just what we need when we need it including patience and perseverance. There is a purpose in every detail so we keep our hope tied to Jesus and Jesus alone!

Today Chuck had gamma knife surgery that was able to get two more tumors. That is 7 tumors zapped but there is one they could not get.  Doctor Neal has scheduled a two hour surgery to take this last tumor out on Monday. Chuck also injured his right shoulder and cannot raise his arm. His left shoulder is still healing and he feels like his body is falling apart. God is faithful and we continue to trust but Chuck is bummed. Psalm 21 reminds us to rejoice in the victories God gives and soak in the joy of His Presence!
Psalms 28 reminds us the Lord is our strength and our shield. Our hearts trust in Him and He helps! Psalms 27 reminds us to wait on the Lord and take heart!
