Please pray for this next MRI of Chucks brain. He sees Dr Lawler in Westin Wednesday afternoon after having MRI Wednesday morning in Wausau. Praying tumor continues to shrink with no new growth anywhere! Pray also for Chuck to get over his cold that he has had for the last two weeks. This has been his toughest round of chemo with lots of nauseousness and the cold. Thank you friends! ... next chemo is a week from Tuesday

We totally thank God for this great news. As my Dad says “God is driving this car” and we trust Him! When we get good news we celebrate! We are on our way to spend 5 days with our four kids and families in MN. Chemo follows on Tuesday and doctor visit. Please pray for wisdom on how to better handle the nauseousness
Thank you!

We continue to travel this chemo adventure and are thankful Chuck is able to handle things. This past round was the toughest of all with lots of nauseousness and still fighting that bronchitis from 3 months ago. However today we have a new plan and pray it works better! We are learning to embrace this adventure as we trust God with every detail and watch Him be glorified as we go! In our weakness Jesus is strong and He is strengthening Chuck! Keep the prayers coming. We were also able to visit each of our four kids and their families between he MRI and chemo with sweet times for all of us!

Thursday October 25 brings us to Mayo Clinic and a catscan of Chuck's lungs!  Please pray for good news!  Fall with all its colors is a reminder that it is less of me and more of God that really brings out the true colors and beauty!  We know our God has these lungs exactly where He wants them and we truly want to shine Jesus through all of this!  We will send updates after we know more, but in the meantime a song that has spoken to me is linked below.  It reminds me that we need to follow God's lead and then all else comes together,  Knowing this provides a real freedom and the heaviness of life and all its stuff is given to God!  May He bless each of you and thank you for praying!

Today Chuck had a dermatologist remove three moles for biopsy.  Please pray no melanoma!  The catscan shows Chuck's tumors are slightly larger... 3 & 4mm.... which is not much, but we were hoping for better news. Chemo #10 today and scheduling for #11 in three weeks for Doctor says  to keep on with this program, but a trial may be in the future.  We pray wisdom and healing.  Please continue to pray for Chuck's cold to improve, for him not to become nauseous, for him to be able to sleep, and for us to embrace this adventure together!  God promises to lead us with His Spirit each step of the way.  Thank you for your prayers and support.

Two of Chuck's three moles have been found to be Melanoma at .5mm depth.  The good news is they have been found and he is to have surgery to remove tissue surrounding when they can fit him in.  This was tough to receive with everything else going on and Chuck has been a bit down.  His comment is: "it is what it is.." We trust our God says in Romans 8:26-28 “reminds us the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness… and that  And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
 There is a song called "Sanctuary" that has encouraged me... I hope it will be a blessing to you also!  Thank you for your love and encouragement and we also want to pray for each of you!

When life is heavy and life is tough I sing this phrase: There is beauty for ashes, There's joy in my pain;
Here in the quiet I will wait for Your hope to appear!  We are embracing each day and letting God become our sanctuary moment by moment!  Let this encourage you too!

Thanking God for a little break from chemo as we head to spend time with family both in Rockford (Pam’s Dad) and in Minneapolis (all our kids) celebrating Thanksgiving. We then plan a trip south for some R&R. December 10 Chuck has surgery on both melanoma sites. Thanks for prayers!

Thanks for praying for this next surgery Chuck has tomorrow morning. We pray they get ALL the melanoma and that there is NO MORE!  Also please pray for his recovery to be easy as we head home and settle back into life after a great three weeks of family time and R&R!   Our Thanksgiving provided a day filled with the entire family sharing life together and we are SO THANKFUL!

Chuck has two 4 inch incisions from the melanoma surgeries and they are healing well.  We will find out next week if they got all the melanoma so please pray they did.  Please also pray health for he has gotten a bad cold.  We are happy to be back home sweet home, and had such special family visits as well as good time the two of us!  Enjoy these days of Advent and focusing on our sweet Jesus birth keeping focused on His Presence here and now in our day to day adventures.  Giving Him our agendas knowing He came to give us life abundantly fills us with a joy to share every day and especially as we celebrate His birth!  Thank you for praying miracles as we give God glory for this next catscan.

Thanks for praying.  God has changes for us! The Catscan showed three new very small tumors in other lung so we are changing treatment plans with no chemo. We are driving home to take a week to let doctors research and Pray  God lead in what they think will be a clinical trial called “Poziotinib”
God bless each of you as we all celebrate Jesus!
Thanks for praying!
