Chuck’s Story

Site created on February 7, 2021

When you head off to work, you spend time with your "work family" - and if there's one thing many know about Astellas, it's that we're a family despite just being work colleagues.  When we look across the organization at the way we work together, play together and care together, there are several folks who stand out. People who you meet and and feel changed by having done so - and Chuck Pearson was one of those people.

Chuck passed away early on Valentine's Day,  which in many ways is fitting.  He led his life from the heart, and was never afraid to let you know it.  His passion, his energy, his laugh and smile - his whole being spread positivity and love.  While he's now moved on, his legacy will endure in the lives of so many that he touched and inspired to learn and develop, to spend 23 (or 37, or 18) minutes a day learning something new, to never be afraid of "going left", to become a practitioner of what you love, and so many, many more things.  We were all blessed to know him, and our lives were enriched by him.

Please continue to share your stories, prayers and condolences with the Pearson family on the pages here - be they Tributes, Well Wishes or responses to the journal entry.
