Journal entry by Renee Handley

Hey there. I have to start by saying thank you for all the love and support via messages, texts, calls, etc. Keep it coming!

We went to the oncologist yesterday (Tuesday) and here's what we learned:
1. Dad's blood levels are super low. This is why he's so weak. Now, we don't know why it's low, or where it's leaking, but they are going to do a blood infusion this week.
2. He's not strong enough for chemo right now, but they are going to start radiation a few weeks after the infusion to work on shrinking the mass in his stomach, this will hopefully help him digest better.
3. Once he's strong enough, the we yll start chemo. They want to fight it without surgery if they can.

That's it, that's what we know. I extended my trip to stay through this appt, but I will be traveling back and forth bn Denver and CO more frequently. Right now, we aren't asking for donations or anything, but instead, give some money to someone who may be houseless or struggling to get gifts for their kids. Or to an animal shelter. Those are 3 thinks that are always super important to my dad (and mom).

Love your people. Take care of each other.

Pic of my folks doggos who are his biggest fans (other than me & mom ha).

Love & Peace,
Renée
