Journal entry by Kristy Wilson —
It’s hard to believe this is the 6month update!
Chris had his check up today and the scans are all good! FYI- this is actually the date he was hospitalized for his appendix in 2012. I just shake my head at what we didn’t know. I have done a bad job of updates, it was just a slow process of getting back to normal. I think we found it frustrating to keep saying that Chris didn’t feel well. But that’s just the process and now we both think he’s almost back to normal. He has put some weight on, all that weight loss does have an impact on muscle tone,so he’s definitely not where he started- BUT he’s thinking of starting jogging. Both of our boys are in Cross Country so Chris is itching to run. Chris did go back to work the end of June and is glad to be back!
This sure has been a learning experience. We’ve learned that we have a strong family, the most amazing friends and church family. Sometimes even if you don’t want to be in need and you do everything you can to not be, that’s still where God wants to show you how blessed and loved you are. The doctor today was trying to give us peace of mind by saying even if it’s the worst case the tumors are slow growing, so we should be all good for 6 months. I appreciate the doctor but we know the ultimate Physician and I do have peace of mind!
