Journal entry by Todd Wilder —
Just the briefest of updates to let you know Chris's surgery went very well today. His round, beautiful head is round again, and he is recovering. The Surgeon says it went very well.
As his brain expands to fill the space now afforded it by the full shape of his skull, Chris may be a tad less sharp than he's been. This is normal, expected, and temporary.
Kate was able to see Chris briefly just after surgery. He was really groggy but, even in that state, mouthed the words, "I love you."
That's one point in the "still sharp" column.
Thank you all for the amazing amount of support you continue to provide for Chris, Kate, and one another. Personally, I feel it daily. I hope you do, too.
Love to all (mouthed and otherwise).
