Christopher’s Story

Site created on September 25, 2019

Family and Friends!  Thanks for joining Chris’ Caring Bridge page.  As his treatments begin on October 8th, Chris wanted to use Caring Bridge to easily communicate with his loved ones.  He would like to keep this group tight - with family and close friends at first - as we are unsure of how these treatments will affect him.  As we move through chemo, Chris may need support with driving to appointments, meals, helping at home, etc.  We will use the calendar on this site for his needs.  Also, for out of town visitors, the calendar will be a great resource for all to see where Chris may need coverage and who will be visiting when.  Hopefully, we can spread visits out so that Chris will have a family member/friend throughout his fight!

“Surround yourself only with people who are going to lift you higher.”
                                                                                                                                                     You are Chris’ people!
Let’s do this - let’s tell Chris’ cancer to “Suck it!”
With much love, Chris and Lisa

Newest Update

Journal entry by Lisa Smithson

Hi Everyone!  We just got off the phone w Dr. Rosato regarding Chris' pathology.  He can't text because he is crying HAPPY TEARS that he is cancer free!!! 😊😊😊

Everything they biopsied came back negative - everything.  The tumor that they removed was staged at a 1B, which is almost as good as it could be.  All lymph nodes biopsied came back negative, and the margins are negative as well.  Dr. Rosato is, again, so happy with these results.  He discussed these findings w Dr Mitchell, and Chris WILL NOT have to have post-chemotherapy care.  🥳🥳🥳

We are SO HAPPY and couldn't wait to share this amazing news w you!!  We are toasting w shots of beef broth and sugar free jello!  🥂

So much love to everyone ! ❤️
