Newest Update

Journal entry by Megan Aasen

Hey! Sorry it has been so long since I have updated everyone! Christian is doing really well! He was finally transferred to the inpatient physical therapy program, which should be about 2-3 weeks and then he will hopefully be able to finish his pt from home and go to outpatient sessions. At this point Christian has made incredible progress! He seems to think we are in Florida right now and that he has lived there for years and years. And even thinks I moved there 7 years ago. He’s says we are super close and from his place I’m only a couple hours out. He keeps pointing out the window and saying he can’t wait to get out and hit south beach, with all the sexy latinas lol. His short term memory seems to be affected a little bit and some memories from before the accident are missing, like the new emerald queen casino that’s being built; he had no clue what Philip was talking about when he brought it up. So we are hoping all these things will eventually start to go away. As far as physically, they removed his trach yesterday because it fell out by accident so they just decided to keep it out and the hole in his neck should close up on its own. He’s able to walk with a walker and is doing really well with all his physical therapy!!
