January 04, 2019. Resting & recovering!!!

Home ๐Ÿก & resting well. Sleeping ๐Ÿ˜ด lots...much more exhausted ๐Ÿ›Œ than I expected to be. Got forty staples taken out of my face last week. I have a very impressive scar to show off to anyone who's interested. Still not able to drive & get tired really quickly. But...overall recovery has been great! God is so good... and so faithful...all the time.
SO THANKFUL for all the love & prayers from everyone.... how incredibly blessed I am w/ fantastic ๐ŸŽ‰family & friends. Thank ๐Ÿ’you all! I'm recovering at a slow & steady pace. Hope to be back at church by next week.... hugs & love to all... blessings, Chrissy

great news!

Chrissy was discharged from the hospital and is resting comfortably at home. We are still saying no visitors because she is exhausted and needs to recover slowly, but we are so grateful for your love and prayers. As always, Chrissy sends each of you Blessings, Hugs, and Xoxoxoxox's

follow up - progress!

Chrissy had a follow up with her neurosurgeon and everything is looking good. She is expected to move out of the ICU by tomorrow. Hopefully she will be able to sleep more and allow her body to heal.
Thank you all for the supportive comments/emails/texts. We are relaying them to Chrissy and she loves hearing from each of you. We are all so thankful for your love and support.
Keep praying xoxoxo

Surgery was a success! Chrissy will be monitored closely for the next few days. Please pray there will be no post-op complications like swelling or bleeding.

Back to the hospital...a little brain surgery....๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

Dear family: quick update...many of you know that I had a ruptured brain aneurysm on February 28th, 2018. Thanks to God's faithfulness to me, a great surgeon & wonderful hospital staff, and all of your prayers and love and support, I had a complete recovery and was able to get back to everything in my life with very little change of pace.

Two weeks ago, I had a follow-up appointment w/ my surgeon, and the aneurysm had grown since the surgery in March. Just a little growth...not an emergency, but my doctor recommended a simple procedure to "clip" the aneurysm to prevent it from growing anymore.

So...short story long...I'm scheduled for a craniotomy on Tuesday, Dec. 11th. My doctor will "clip" the aneurysm and that should be the end of any problems with that.

I would appreciate all of your love and prayers. Thanks so much for the amazing support you all sent my way last spring. I think that this time will be much less dramatic and my time in the hospital should be minimal, but I did want to let everyone know so that you could be praying. Just like in the spring, I have my incredibly loving family with me every step of the way.  I'm so thankful for my fantastic kids who have loved me so well, my siblings and their spouses... and all of my nieces, nephews, and cousins. They all are an amazing source of strength and support.

Much as I TOTALLY love visits, flowers, gifts and food...I'm going to request NONE of the above. It will be too much to handle and easier just to say no to everything.PLEASE PRAY...and just check out this CaringBridge website where there will be updates as things progress at the hospital.

Thanks for being such amazing friends and family to me!!! I'm so incredibly blessed and so thankful to God for the people around me who love me so well. Thank you.

Have a blessed and beautiful holiday season...may the God of the entire universe be very real and personal to each of you at this special time of year. Oh, how much He loves us!!!

Hugs and blessings and love and xoxoxox,  Chrissy
