Journal entry by Jess Rose —
To all of our friends and family…
I had hoped to post that this week marks one year of Chris being cancer free. He has finally been able to get back to playing baseball after two years of having to sit it out, and he has been on fire!! It has been so amazing to see him get back to doing what he loves after not being able to play for so long.
Unfortunately Chris received news on Tuesday that he is once again fighting melanoma. We don’t have a ton of info yet, but he will be going in for surgery on June 28th. Chris is the toughest person that most of us know, and I have no doubt that he will grab this by the horns and come out even stronger for it.
Please keep Chris in your thoughts and feel free to reach out to him with words of support. His friends and family mean everything to him, and hearing from all of you will certainly boost his spirits as he gears up to kick cancer’s ass for the second time!
I will also be posting updates on Chris’ GoFund Me page at https://gofund.me/30cc6a20
