Ok...it's been a long time!  I'll try to post some updates over the next few weeks..

But, first, we wanted to again thank you for all of your support; it's truly made a difference.  We often think of how people reached out and emotionally, physically, and financially supported us in the first few years and it still touches us.  THANK YOU, we could never have done it without so many people helping.  We are coming up on three years post-accident May 31st!!!

This weeks news is that Chris got COVID!  Thankfully he's vaccinated and boosted (unfortunately, 2nd booster appt was for this week, dang!)   On day 5, after an event, Chris was positive.  He's doing pretty well.  He has a paralyzed lung, so our most immediate concern was to watch for pneumonia and it's why we've been so very careful the past two years not to expose Chris.  Luckily the cough he had early on is mainly gone. The weird SCI symptom is that his entire body got so stiff he could hardly drive his wheelchair and couldn't bend his arms enough to eat!  Thanks to my brother, we were told to inquire about post-covid therapeutics and got Chris on Molnupiravir the next day.

Other than that... we've been trying out overnight trips without all the "gear" and finding it works pretty well!  End of June we'll leave for a 3 week trip, Montana for a wedding and Glacier then onward to our Winthrop cabin for a couple of weeks.  Super excited to go back to CRAIG hospital in July for what is supposed to be an annual re-evaluation but with covid they've not been doing them!  Chris will be therapy, meeting with doctors, 9 - 5 every day for 5 days.  Our friends Cory & Audrey will be going at the same time so we are contemplating a "Cory & Chris show" and more adventures to see what kind of trouble we can get ourselves into there.
