Safe journey home

Safe travels! Chris and you made a great impression on the research team if you got treats! But most importantly, I believe they were impressed with the grace in which you both approach the situation and the compassion evident in your interactions as partners in this journey. It helps caregivers remember they are treating people with conditions that each have a unique life story. I feel confident the neurologist will work hard with the Oregon physicians to find additional treatments. It will feel so good for you to get home, sleep in your own bed and just kick back. You will probably feel spent for the first week as you "come down" from this episode. Just take it easy and rest! Hugs galore!

May you have safe travels home and hope the drive goes well for Chris. Steadfast in our prayers that the treatment needed to help relieve his pain will happen...soon. Sending you hugs filled with much love, support, and strength. We are here for you both always!!!!

Safe traveling. Tell Chris I say hello. I am sorry there wasn't a better outcome for this study, it is alot of work .. for you BOTH ! You two are amazing. Watching all this unfold makes me so proud of you Chris for having such a huge heart to sacrifice your time, body and soul for possible relief for you and many others. While this study didn't help, it WILL help someone else. You might not get to see that success or hear about it, but just know you contributed enormously and made a difference. Joan, I know I have never met you, but I have heard so much about you from Chris. The care that Chris has received from you is such a testament of your love for him. A true sacrifice from you. Not everyone would be able to do what you have done. I think this event/journey will lead to another door to open that wouldn't of opened unless you did this step. I have alot of faith that something good is coming your way soon. You are in my daily thoughts and prayers. Take care and keep in touch.

Have a safe drive home. Pretty special to get home baked cookies and scones. May a treatment they told you about be available in Oregon and provide pain relief.
