Folks:. We met with Dr Shonka at UVA today with great results. A) He was happy with her incision and she is now free to take showers, etc. B) The really good news is that she had two tumors, both of which were not cancerous, yippee! So we are in the clear surgery wise. Next stop is a visit 5 weeks from now to check her hormone level. There is a good chance the right side of the thyroiditis will provide enough hormones that additional medication will not be needed. Thanks, Steve
