So good to hear that you are on the mend. What a long strange trip this has been. I am sending all my best wishes for a complete recovery so you can get back to normal again. Best of luck my friend.
It is a delight to be back home, seeing clients again, cleaning up my desk and working in the garden.
My desk just got buried as I just didn't have the energy to deal with anything, so it all got dumped on my desk.
I'm part way through going through one paper at a time; dealing with it, filing it or discarding it. Feels good.
I've been working with a Physical Therapist twice a week to rebuild my strength and doing exercises almost every day.
My physical strength had evaporated to the 1 or 2 % level, to the point where I couldn't turn over in bed, couldn't get up out of a chair or walk up steps.
I'm now back to the gym 3 times a week, working with the weight machines 2 or 3 heavy sets to regain my muscle supported by weekly Testosterone shots, which an 80 year old man requires to build or rebuild muscle. My chest still looks like I'm a recent release from Auschwitz.
This is a very slow process, but I am assured by many the I should fully regain my strength and it seems to be happening, though slowly.
Many thanks for all of your good wishes, calls and cards.
I was so low in energy that I was just unable to acknowledge your love and kindness at the time, so thank you!
Your love and support were what carried us through this challenging time! What an amazing community we have.
