I first met Bob in 2005 at Roberto Clemente, and then worked with him again at Forsythe. He was consistently accessible - in terms of willing to give his time and in terms of engaging with insight and humor. He was blunt and challenging, but always with good intent. It felt good to be in his presence... so much so that it was a bit of an issue at Forsythe - students would purposely act out just to be sent to the resource room because they wanted to hang with Mr. Brown. I enjoyed hosting Bob a few times at parties, and would tease him about Sharon being out of his league. I meant to take him out when Sharon died and, of course, now regret that I didn't make that happen. For you that survive him, I offer these words of comfort from Dr. Seuss: "Don't cry because it's over; smile because it happened." I am grateful that my path crossed Bob's.

I am saddened to hear of Bob's passing. We taught together at Huron High for about 10 years. He was such a kind and loving person and never spoke ill of anyone. May your hearts be comforted knowing that he made a difference in the lives he touched. He had such a gentle way about him. Everyone loved Bob. May you find comfort in the memories of the time shared together. RIP Bob! Godspeed!
